Commander Aug. '12

This one I did for fun. The cat "Commander" was spitting at the new puppy and we snapped a photo.

Emmett Coat Rack

I just finished this today for my daughter's birthday in March.  Yes, this is the 'REAL' Emmett...
It's a small coat rack, only 8"wide x 11"tall.  If you click on the picture below, you can see more detail.  Enjoy!

And, believe it or not, below is the picture I had to work with!

DrawerKnob

Feb. 2012  At times, I just have to avoid life.  I come up with some interesting things to do... LOL!
Check this out...   These pictures are actually larger than actual size.
I carved it out of wood, (1/2inch wide) then sanded, and painted this itty bitty thing, sealed it, then I attached it to a base that was made to be a drawer pull. The gold base is barely the size of a quarter.
I really can't believe I pulled this off!

Abby and Penny Jewelry box

2007 Birthday Gift.  I bought a wooden jewelry box and finished it in white, and then painted my niece's pups on the lid.  It turned out cute, but when I made it- Penny was a puppy. Now she is much bigger than Abby, the Shihtzu. Oh well...

Photos I used for inspiration...

WELCOME!

Hi! and WELCOME!
Old friends and New friends - to Emmett's Art!
Completely Original Custom Artwork

ABOUT ME... 'Emmett'
You may be familiar with Emmett's Art, Royal Care Creations - Miniature Schnauzers
I am no longer affiliated with this website (even tho my name, etc. is still on it)
It was mine. I was a Miniature Schnauzer breeder -and not only did I make great puppies, I also did alot of web graphics, holiday cards, and various custom works at request. Miss Emmett is one of my furbabies, and also my email address EMAIL ME!
So, please look around. Click on any picture to see it full size.
I'm adding new projects often.
Feel free to comment on any of it, and email me if you have any questions! THANKS for stoppin' by!!

Custom Work
If YOU have a furbaby(s) that you would like me to paint... not just a framed 'pet portrait painting' for hundreds of $$-- But a ONE OF A KIND project that can also be useful and guaranteed to be your favorite for years to come! Price is as customized as the project. Email me your ideas of what you want, and I'll find a price that works for you.

From Idea to Design, I make sure everything I create - is the highest quality.
I love doing custom requests. Whether I have photos to work from or just an idea, I design, cut, sand, hand paint and finish. All my wood projects are cut from 1/2inch Birch plywood, then sanded smooth before I hand paint it with acrylics. After many hours of painting and perfecting, I finish it with a durable weather resistant gloss seal.
Coat Racks are designed by me, cut, sanded and painted by me. When finished they are built to last and ready to hang. Most are 24" wide, and all come with hangers on the back installed 16" apart, ready to be hung on wall studs to support weight.

Wine Glass

Jan. 2012  For my daughter, ...I had to get creative again.  LOL  She has a schnauzer and a chihuahua, and recently they got a tortoise.  I painted a Schnauzer and Chihuahua on each side, (2 each)  I thought it was a cute idea... painting a wine glass.

This was my first experience painting on glass….

Schnauzer Coat Rack

Jan. 2012    This is a coat rack that I made for myself.  This painting is not based on any photo, just my own interpretation.  I was happy with how the flowers turned out.

It's a well known MissEmmett fact:  Miniature Schnauzers have always been 'my breed'.  I've bred them for years and loved many, many, many of them!

Daisy Coat Rack

Jan.  2012    This is a coat rack that I made for my niece.  I cut the wood smaller, it’s only  18” wide and only has 5 hooks. My very first painting of a cat!  Below are the original photos that I had to work with.

'Daisy'

**   UPDATE!!!
When it actually hung on the wall, Daisy saw the likeness and wanted to be friends!

Small Hanging Welcome

Dec. 2011  Once again I had to come up with a gift... I made this small, so that it would perfectly hang on a door.  It's cut from 1/2inch wood and finished size is about 12"wide x 7"high.

Schnauzer Silhouette

This is a piece I designed and cut, then it was originally painted all black but I recently finished it in metallic silver.

The finished wood is 30"wide and stands about 17"tall

Pug Coat Rack

Dec. 2010    This is a coat rack that I made for my brother and his family for Christmas.  They have 2 Pugs.  I had no photo of their dogs to work with, so I just had to ‘make do’.  I guess it’s just a ‘breed’ project.

24"wide x 12"tall with 7 white double hooks. photo doesn't show complete project.

Welcome Sign

2007.   This project was a custom request. As with all my wood projects, I design, cut, sand, hand paint and seal with a weather resistant gloss finish. These Schnauzers stand about  12” tall, also finished with metal poles to stick in the ground.

Lamp Shade

Dec.  2007.   What do you get for someone who already has everything Schnauzer?   I had to do something 'one of a kind'.  So, I painted four Schnauzers around this lamp Shade.  It turned out really cute!   And... SHE LOVED IT!  Yay!    (sorry all the pictures aren't the best...)

Throw Pillow

Throw Pillow

2005. I painted on this pillow with acrylics.   This project was a custom gift I did for my best friend.  A photo of her 4 dogs (shown below) was my inspiration.
